LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
Lake Nakuru national park is the world’s paradise of different species of birds including the pink flamingoes that feeds on the abundant algae thriving in the lakes warm waters.
This full day excursion to the Lake Nakuru national park gives you the opportunity to observe the world renowned flamingos as well as search for other wildlife such as buffaloes, rhinoceros, giraffes and baboons. This national park is also the world’s famous sanctuary for both black and white rhino.
Besides that, more than 400 species of birds can be seen in the park. Between the lake and the cliffs in the west, large pythons inhabit the dense woodland, and can often be seen crossing the roads or dangling from trees.
ITINERARY
Our Tour guide/ driver will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel by 6:00am and
depart to Lake Nakuru National park for a day tour.
We will have a brief stop-over at the Great Rift Valley view point to look into the valley from the escarpment to see the Mt Longonot, Mt suswa, the rift valley floor, lake Naivasha and the hot geysers of hells gate.
Arrive at Nakuru national park on time and embark on a full day game drive. Start the game drive around the lake to see great white pelicans, flamingos, ibis, jacana, plovers, storks, herons and many others. Go to the baboon cliff to have a bird’s eye view of the lake
We will continue with our game drive in the park to see the hundreds of animals in the savannah, the acacia woodland and the swamps around the lake
After the game drive, you can opt to have a sumptuous lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge, Sopa Lodge or any other hotel of your choice at an extra cost (not included in the package)
We will depart from Lake Nakuru national park after a 4 hour’s game drive and drive back to Nairobi.
We will arrive back to Nairobi at around 6:00pm and you will be dropped off to your hotel in Nairobi or at the JKIA Nairobi airport for your evening flight.
