Day By Day Itinerary

Day 1: Johannesburg to Kruger National Park

You will be picked up from O.R. Tambo International Airport and travel in an air-conditioned 14-seater vehicle to Hazyview in Mpumalanga. You will check-in at the Kruger Adventure Lodge, freshen up and then depart on a game drive in Kruger National Park. Hazyview is a short 15-minute drive from Numbi Gate which is the gateway to the lush southeastern corner of Kruger National Park. A professional safari guide will take you to waterholes and special vantage points renowned as wildlife hotspots in the reserve to view a wide variety of wildlife including the “Big 5”. You will return to Hazyview in the early evening for dinner at the lodge restaurant and then you will turn in for the night.

Accommodation: Kruger Adventure Lodge (Mid –Range Lodge located just outside Kruger National Park)

Meals: Dinner (Breakfast & Lunch Not included)

Day 2: Kruger National Park

You will rise early, have breakfast and spend the entire day exploring the southern region of the Kruger National Park. You will see the “Big 5”, which includes elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard and an abundance of antelope and other wildlife. Birdlife is prolific and the region is known for its rich cultural heritage. You will visit historic landmarks and learn more about the intrepid explorers and game rangers who shaped the history of the park. You will break for lunch at Skukuza Rest Camp where you can visit the Stevenson-Hamilton Memorial Library and stock up on snacks and refreshments for the return game drive back to the lodge. Upon arrival back at the lodge in the late afternoon, you will have dinner in the restaurant and then settle in for the night.

Day 3: Johannesburg-South Africa.

You will rise very early and take off for a sunrise game drive in the park. This is the best time to see the wildlife and the bush. It is a spectacular time as the early morning rays warm up the day and you watch the animals hunting or being hunted. You will return for breakfast and then drive to Perry’s Bridge Centre in Hazyview and visit the curio shop where you can pick up snacks and refreshments for the drive home. Ashtons Shuttle Service will pick you up and drive you back to OR Tambo International Airport ( at an extra cost) for your flight home. This is where your safari will end.
